"When you love our Creator and yourself more than you love the things of this world, then you will stop making choices that cause harm to yourself and others.

Ven. Running Wolf, MSW"

Ven. Running Wolf, MSW

A world renowned Cherokee Medicine Man, the Ven. Running Wolf is leader of the Thunder People and Elder Spiritual Leader of the Gadohi Usquanigodi Native American Spiritual Centers, located throughout the United States. He is a Disabled American Veteran, Gourd Dancer and co-authored the video "Returning to Right Relationship" with the late Grandfather Rolling Thunder, and, is the author of the booklet "Practicing The Medicine Way."
The Ven. Running Wolf, MSW is a direct descendant of Thomas Barns of the Hiwassee River (in what is now the Cherokee National Forest in Southeast Tennessee.) Thomas Barns was placed on the Henderson Roll just before his land and home were taken from him and he was forced to walk the Trail of Tears.

Born to the path, the Ven. Running Wolf has been doing this medicine since his early teens. Recognized as a Cherokee Medicine Man by Grandfather Rolling Thunder in 1993, he has spent most of his adult life facilitating ceremonies, curing the sick and teaching others how to conduct some ceremonies. His primary purpose is to help restore balance, harmony and well-being in North America, thus helping to inspire all people to practice reverence and respect for our Creator and all life. Through this process he hopes to improve the quality of life for all peoples, since Cherokee teachings reflect that we are all children of our Creator.
